Journey Home Again
Once a Thunderbird camper, always a Thunderbird camper. As we celebrate seventy-five years, Thunderbird provides the opportunity for campers to share an experience with parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Each generation coming together to be part of the Thunderbird community and family.

75th Reunion Celebrations at Camp Postponed to 2022
We take great pride in reaching this milestone and look forward to a remarkable celebration commemorating those seventy-five years. Due to the barriers that COVID-19 is creating for travel and congregating, we are postponing the celebration and look forward to seeing boys camp (camper and staff) alumni the weekend of August 12-15, 2022.
For those who like to plan ahead, we will be opening registration at the end of September for both the reunion and Family Camp. We will host Family Camp at Camp Thunderbird for Girls at the same time as the reunion. This will enable alumni to bring their families north to see Thunderbird while we still offer alumni a boys camp experience. Alumni can choose to stay at either camp and we will offer a time for families to visit boys camp so you can reminisce with your loved ones ones.
50th Reunion at Girls in 2019
In 2019 we celebrated the 50th anniversary of Camp Thunderbird for Girls. On a weekend in mid-August, Alumnae of all ages (the oldest being from the 1960s) journeyed to the Northwoods to relive their camp days and connect with old friends. The weather for the weekend was absolutely gorgeous and everyone took advantage down at the waterfront, brushing up on their canoeing, sailing and water skiing skills. Alums also rode horses, practiced their aim at Riflery and Archery, and thoroughly enjoyed our Hootenanny style music night. We closed out the weekend with a wonderful Final Banquet and everyone shared their favorite camp memories. It was truly an unforgettable weekend and we cherished every moment with all those who attended. We look forward to hosting 55 year celebrations across the country.
